Week 3:

Our class was separated out into 3 groups which are going to be our groups for the year, 20 students in each.
We then had a slide show on Gilbert and George the artists.
The class discussion was next and we had to put our opinions on what we thought about their work.

After watching the video and discussion the groups rotated and my group then went into the digital suite and we were all shown the computers and scanners.

We were shown by Stephen a website called blurb, that is great for creating albums, books etc. The site also included a system were that you can sell your own book's or images to potential customers through the site.

The last aspect was the scanners, which we were shown through the Apple Mac computers.
We placed previously collected objects onto the scanner and were shown how to scan a picture or objects in the correct way, getting all of the colours exposures correct on the screen.

Gilbert and George.

Above is a piece of work from Gilbert and George's archive.
I find the work not to my taste as i think that it is offensive and extremely rude.
I do like the orderly fashion of the lines dividing the square individual pictures.
The colours are also a good point drawing in the audience.

Each image that they create takes a lot of preparation and work, the documentary on G&G tells us the thoughts and reasoning behind each of the images.
